Cult at exground by now: the ultimate karaoke night. Amateurs "singing" along to pre-recorded music have spread all over the world from Japan since the 1970s. Karaoke was invented by Daisuke Inoue, who in 1971 rented out the first self-built karaoke machines to bars in Kobe. Since he did not have his invention patented, he earned close to nothing. So what?
