Haunted by a tragic incident, Nihat has isolated himself as the fire warden of a remote fire spotting station. At a rural bus station in the region, Seher has taken a job as a hostess. Through a series of events, their lives are brought together and their pasts exposed. Reluctantly choosing companionship over isolation, the pair develop an uneven domestic partnership.

Biography: Pelin Esmer was born and grew up in Istanbul/Turkey. After she majored in sociology in Istanbul, she attended the cinema workshop of the Turkish director Yavuz Ozkan. She worked as a first assistant director in a number of Turkish and foreign projects and gave lectures about documentary filmmaking at Kadir Has University in Istanbul. In 2005, she founded her own film company "Sinefilm" and since then has been producing her own projects as an independent filmmaker. Her second film THE PLAY was screened at over 50 festivals around the world and received many awards including "The Best New Documentary Filmmaker Award" at 2006 Tribeca Film Festival in the US.
