A colourful and bizarre tragicomedy: Hanno Herbst cannot understand his son – Florian is plump, a daydreamer, listens to pop songs and is not into girls. He’s most happy, when Hanno is away and he can dance in disco outfit with ma around the flat. But one morning, there is no one any longer to protect the two men from each other, so Hanno and Florian have to learn to get along.

Biography: Axel Ranisch was born in the summer of 1983 as a chubby child to a pair of competitive athletes in the beautiful borough of Lichtenberg, Berlin. After years of longstanding sceptisism about the medium, Axel shot his first short film in 2002, and in the subsequent seven years he directed and produced about eighty short films. From 2004 to 2001 he studied at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg. After having graduated he founded the production company „Sehr gute Filme“, together with Anne Baeker, Dennis Pauls and Heiko Pinkowski. In 2011, he shot his first feature-length film DICKE MÄDCHEN.
