War photographer Lee holes up in Sicily. Deeply traumatized, Lee is trying to benumb herself with drugs and alcohol, while family and friends are waiting for Lee to return to New York City. Soon Lee crosses paths with the Tunisian Hafsia who tries to pass on to France. Lee starts taking care of Hafsia in order to help the young woman and at least herself.

Biography: Writer and director Mark Jackson’s first film, WITHOUT, won numerous awards on the festival circuit including the Best Director Award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival in Greece and an Independent Spirit Award in the US. His new film, WAR STORY, shot on location in Sicily, is the second installment in an island trilology.
