In 2013, the Russian government passed a bill that forbids LGBT youths to promote their lifestyle, known as the “gay propaganda” law. In response, lesbian teen Elena Klimova founded Children 404, an online support group for gay youths. 45 teens agreed to be part of this documentary. At school, they are taunted incessantly. At home, some of their parents deny they exist. CHILDREN 404 is a shocking film, a must-see. "This film has two essential ingredients of a great documentary: strong stories and a breathtaking sense of urgency." (Hot Docs festival guide 2014)
