Biography: Gerd Gockell, born in 1960 in Darmstadt, finished his studies at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Braunschweig/Germany with a diploma in 1987. In 1988, he was a free-lancer with Hessischer Rundfunk. Since 1989 he works with several film productions in London. In 1990, together with Kirsten Winter he founded the anigraf film production. Since 1992 he also works as visiting lecturer, assistant professor and professor. He lives in Lucerne/Switzerland and Hanover.
