Three unmarried aristocratic Christian sisters from Ramallah have shut themselves in their villa clinging desperately to their former glory. Under the iron fist of the eldest sister, the house is run with military discipline and wrapped in a time warp and aura of deathly gloom, until their orphan niece walks into their life and turns their world upside down.

Biography: Suha Arraf was born in the Palestinian village of Melyia, near Lebanon, in 1969 She began her filmmaking career as a documentary producer. Her work, WOMEN OF HAMAS (2010), received 13 awards at international film festivals. Her first two screenplays, THE SYRIAN BRIDE (2004) and THE LEMON TREE (2008), both co-written and directed by Eran Riklis, received international acclaim, with the latter winning Best Screenplay at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and a Best Screenplay nomination at the European Film Academy Awards. In 2014, the film magazine "Variety" listed her under the "Top 10 Screenwriters to Watch".
