A village at the German-Czech border. The love story of Tommy from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and Julia coming from a wealthy family. Julia is getting unexpectedly pregnant. Against their parents’ will, Julia and Tommy want to build a common future. As money is a big issue for Tommy who works in a bakery he participates in a risky deal – drug smuggling. The young relationship is put to the test.

Biography: Robert Heber was born in Bautzen/Germany in 1981. After a stay in London/UK, where he worked for short film and music video productions, from the year 2003 he began studying Visual Arts in Braunschweig/Germany and Dresden/Germany with focus on film/video. From 2009 to 2015, he studied directing at Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. DAS RICHTIGE LEBEN [REAL LIFE] is his graduation film and feature-length film debut.
