He’s released one year later with no explanation given. On arriving home he finds his daughter, Somayeh, has given birth out of wedlock... "How will Ghadir, with his thirst for social justice, deal with Somayeh’s transgression of the moral code? A man having reached social maturity through suffering injustice himself, will he inflict injustice on his daughter? (…) ANOTHER TIME wishes to serve as a warning to those who have put aside both their power of action and their quest for a better world." (director’s statement) |
Biography: Nahid Hassanzadeh, born in Mianeh/Iran in 1974, qualified as a midwife from Tehran University in 1998 and went on to study filmmaking at the "Iranian Young Cinema Society" of Tehran. In addition to her profession of midwife, she made short films and documentaries. Most of her work deals with the problems and difficulties confronting women in today’s Iranian society and how their femininity impinges on their lives. The themes evoked have a direct link with her profession and the everyday relationships she has with her female patients and especially with those most at risk.
