Back in the 1980s in Iran, an eventful decade that changed the peoples’ lives in this country. Just before and after the revolution, an entire country is destabilized. And then the war against Iraq, unforeseen complicating the lives of Iranians, and whose influence never ends. "Atefeh Yarmohammadi works out her personal history in a palimpsest of historical and contemporary film footage accompanied by a distinctive soundtrack. She was born in Tehran in 1984 during the Iran-Iraq war that drove her parents apart. |

Biography: Atefeh Yarmohammadi, born in 1984 in Tehran/Iran and Iranian citizen, studied painting at the Art University in Tehran in 2004. In 2008, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art-Action from Haute école d’art et design – Genève (HEAD) – and in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film also from HEAD. Since then, she has been working as short film director and lives alternately in Tehran and Geneva/Switzerland.
