Iran is a monitoring state that locks dissidents, blocks internet pages, makes it difficult to receive satellite programs and

interferes with telephones, but it is also a country with a self-conscious, educated middle class that is intensively engaged in the social networks and in private circles discussing politics and religion. Jinoos Taghizadeh (*1971 in Teheran) is a valiant artist living in Tehran, paving a route through the constant arbitration between the real, the factual and the spinning yarns of the system.
