CHICKEN WINGS by Pauline Kortmann wins the German Short-Film
Contest at exground filmfest 21
The audience in the sold-out Caligari FilmBühne in Wiesbaden
made its decision and crowned CHICKEN WINGS as the winner
film of the 16th German Short-Film Award at exground
filmfest 21. Director Pauline Kortmann was excited about the
vote and the prize money of 3.000 Euros, handed over by the
Wiesbaden head of the Cultural Offices Rita Thies. ROBIN by
Hanno Olderdissen came in second and therefore won the prize
money of 2000 Euros, sponsored by the Wiesbadener
Kinofestival e. V. The 1000 Euros for third place at the
German Short-Film Contest went to Jim Lacy and Kathrin
Albers for their short film DIE SCHIEFE BAHN – also
sponsored by the Cultural Offices of the state capital
Wiesbaden.
In the course of the German Short-Film Contest, the winners
of further exground filmfest contests were announced as
well: The international ON-VIDEO Contest and the prize money
of 1500 Euros, sponsored by student’s magazine STUZ was won
by the German entry 16:9 FULL HD by Marion Pfaus. In
addition, the professional jury gave an commendatory mention
to Swedish entry VALBORG – THE RITE OF SPRING by Sanna
Lenken. The winner of the Wiesbaden-Special – Short-Film
Contest was Tim Bollinger with BETWEEN. The recipient of the
Hessian University Film Award received the most audience
votes and the prize money of 500 Euros plus certificate,
sponsored by the Wiesbadener Kurier newspaper and handed
over by editor Gerd Klee.
