exground filmfest is proud to participate in the BETTING ON SHORTS contest on November 21, 2008, for the first time. This contest takes place simultaneously in Athens, Barcelona, Bucharest, Istanbul, London, Maribor, Munich, Naples, Novi Sad, Paris, Posen, Stockholm, and Wiesbaden, where 17 international short films from eleven countries will be shown under the motto "Money, Money, Money".
The clou: before the screening, the audience is invited to place bets on the winning film. Whoever placed the correct bet in Wiesbaden wins two tickets for exground filmfest’s German short film contest on November 23, 2008, including the award ceremony and closing party. The bets are based on short clips from the selected films which can be viewed as of November 15, 2008, at www.bettingonshorts.com and in the participating screening locations.
In every city, the winner film is chosen by a jury. 2008’s exground filmfest jury consists of cinematographer Harald A. Capota, director Daniel Seideneder, and producer (Jörg) Martin Gessner.
