An eclectic and honest examination of Melbourne’s post-punk music scene of the late 1970s that spawned the likes of Nick Cave, the "Birthday Party", "Rowland S. Howard", the "Primitive Calculators", "Whirlywirld" and the unique little-band scene amongst many others. Participants proffer their recollections and air their animosities in a tribute to those seminal times in a sequence of remarkably candid interviews about the music, the drugs, the fashions, the influences, the philosophies, the venues and the legacy of the era.
The documentary incorporates never-before-seen archival footage of Melbourne’s post-punk scene and interviews with the international rock star, Michael Hutchence, on the set of Australia’s only punk feature film, DOGS IN SPACE that is also be shown at exground filmfest 23 as a German premiere.
