Small town Devonsville in 1683: three innocent women are accused of witchcraft and lynched by Puritans and witch hunters. One of the witches curses the village and its inhabitants. 300 years later on the disreputable anniversary of the witch trials, young teacher Jenny and two other women arrive in town. When strange things happen, the villagers believe in the curse and view the young women as reincarnations of the witches from way back then. Another witch hunt can begin.
Donald Pleasence (known from Polanski’s WENN KATELBACH KOMMT) plays the doctor of Devonsville who – being a descendant of the executioner from 1683 – is himself plagued by the curse on his family. DEVONSVILLE TERROR is inspired by the "Salem Witchcraft Trials" from 1692, where assumed witches were cruelly executed in today’s U.S. state of Massachusetts.
