"Through NORTHLESS, I narrate the conflict implied in migrating from Mexico to the United States of America from a perspective where drama coexists with joy. The dramatic tension that arises when someone leaves the place and people she or he loves. The joy that comes from overcoming the numerous obstacles, mountains, rivers and deserts that each man, woman and child encounter when adventuring into an unknown world. The film attempts to create a communication link between those who leave and those who stay. I yearn to make a film that is as beautiful in images as in the human relationships portrayed under a natural, intimate and close depiction. Thus NORTHLESS is a fiction narrated with a documentary approach: reality without neither artifices nor explosive drama that might distract the audience from the real conflict." (Rigoberto Pérezcano)
„A warmly human and complex corrective to the screaming anti-immigration extremists on cable news.“ (LA Weekly)
