Paraíso, paradise is the name of Lima’s slum. A month ago Che Loco was murdered here by a brutal gang. His friends mourn the tragic loss and recognize the daily hardship of their lives. As adolescents they are looking for future perspectives, but their reality leaves very few possible options. Something has to happen, they decide. From this moment on each of them follow their way and personal goals: finish school with best marks in order to be able to study, join the army or build their own home and self-determined life. Simple, yet utopian dreams, as the milieu is grim. And all they have to put against it is the irrepressible power of their friendship.
