Gabino, a 24-year-old man, works as a moving-truck driver in Mexico City. He lives with his mother, Teresa, with whom he has a distant relationship. She wishes Gabino was more like Miguel, her other son, who she believes has a decent job and a good lifestyle. Miguel, however, doesn’t care much about his family and never visits them. Gabino’s grandmother dies alone in her apartment and nobody finds out until two weeks later when Teresa and Gabino go to her place to store some furniture Gabino stole. When they find the corpse, Gabino and Teresa wrap her up in blankets and put her in the moving truck. They drive up to her hometown and bury her without telling anyone.
"In film we constantly see that when something happens, people’s lives change, but that is not necessarily true." (Nicolás Pereda)
