Tunisia’s revolution as lived through three individuals : Lina Ben Mhenni, blogger, a small feisty woman who dared defy Ben Ali’s regime by posting the wave of revolt, which started in Sidi Bouzid, on her blog; Radhia Nasraoui, lawyer, fierce human rights advocate, who paid dearly for her activism, as did her husband who was often imprisoned; and Karem Cherif, journalist, writer armed with a bat and supported by his family to protect his neighborhood during the dark days that followed Ben Ali’s flight… One common denominator in all these stories: fear, felt by all Tunisians, tyrannizing their lives, and leaving a legacy on a battered Tunisian population. Defying it today, a unanimous outcry: no more fear!
„Today, the Tunisian flag adorns my living room and the National Anthem I sing has a completely different vibe, meaning freedom. I am a citizen at last and I can fully express it. The fears I bring up were also my own, they were shared by most Tunisians. Today, the courage shown by people in this film is shared by all Tunisians.“ (Mourad Ben Cheikh)
