Two years after the reelection of Iran’s president Ahmadinejad the protests in the country have died down. But let us ask again: how do young filmmakers see their country? We have selected six films showing people’s everyday life in Teheran as well as in the countryside. One boy is losing his eyesight, another one doesn’t dare to confess his love. An old man is waiting for death, and four man tired of life try to escape reality. Most explosive is NO. ZERO about the attempt of an unmarried couple to have an illegal abortion. BITTER MILK deals with Afghan families paying with their children for escaping to Pakistan. The IRAN program presents five international and one German premiere. After the screening directors are available for Q&A.
