Two filmmakers, the Israeli Sivan and the Palestinian Khleifi travelled their native country in 2002 – along the virtual line drawn by the UN resolution 181 from November 29, 1947, according to which Palestine and Israel were to be two separate countries.
Part 2 takes us from Lod/Lydda to Jerusalem – the center, where strong tensions between the groups limit the opportunities of peaceful coexistence. Here you can almost physically feel the conflict. The film shows various meetings from everyday life, thus documenting the possibility of living together in a mixed Palestinian-Jewish city. A soldier in his tank offers philosophical thoughts on Kafka. Geographers explain shifting the border.
