CRAZY DENNIS TIGER comes along in almost documentary style. A milieu study, a story about the brothers Dennis and Philipp. In the dull Brandenburg whistle stop Schildow wrestling fights are one of the rare varieties. For 15-year old Dennis his older brother Philipp is next of kin as well as idol.
The film, a coming-of-age story, was already successfully shown in Berlinale’s „Generation 14plus" section and is worth seeing not just for the strong acting of the two actors. Director Jan Soldat manages to create an authentic portrait of a 15-year old wanting to take revenge for his brother’s mishap in a wrestling-fight – thus causing serious trouble for himself.
