People, who never visited Cuba, associate US oldtimer, cocktails, sea and salsa with this country. But the reality is no party. The motto of the revolution 50 years ago "Patria o Muerte" still forms everyday life – same as the US embargo, making all consumer goods rare. The award-winning film shows people’s life full of deprivations, still they keep up their joy of life and good humor. We see people, who were born before the revolution and critically reflect the events back then, students and their break rituals and dancers, earning their living with tourists. An interesting insight into the lives and ways of thinking of a nation, which resisted – however forcibly – the danger of being "swallowed" by the US.
