Nicole is 18 years old, wants to marry and have a baby, she simply wants to lead a normal life. Nicole loves young neighbor Nick, and despite him being an outsider, is giving him absolute affection. When Nicole becomes pregnant, everybody is tested to their limits. A race starts against sterilisation, abortion and gridlocked ideas about self-determination of a young woman with Down’s syndrome.

Biography: Christina Schiewe, born in 1980 in Brussels/Belgium to German-Brazilian parents, grew up in Brussels, Stockholm and Düsseldorf, 2002–2007 studied directing feature film at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. Her diploma film DAS LEICHTE LEBEN was nominated for "Special Award Acting" in the FIRST STEPS Awards in 2007 and won the award for Best Student Short Film at the Rome International Film Festival. BE MY BABY is her first feature-length film. She lives in Cologne.
