A comedy with the charme of Eastalgia around a break-dancing crew in Dessau in 1985: 18-year-old Frank and his friends have fallen for the decadent-capitalistic break-dancing. The SED-party guys figure pretty soon, that these young fellows won’t be stopped by police, and tries to exploit them for their cause. However, the dancers have quite a different understanding of "acrobatic show dance" than the functionaries.
Biography: Jan Martin Scharf was born in 1974 in Cologne. He studied in New York and at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Cologne. His diploma film won several awards. He hasn’t just been directing since, but also written screenplays for detective series.
