Rodolfo leaves to work every day, but he’s really unemployed. Beatriz, who suffers a midlife crisis, is seduced by gym trainer. Daughter Jessica is in a love triangle between her boyfriend and her best friend. And son Juan, finds out he’s about to be a father. This is the life of an ordinary family in Tijuana trying to hide secrets from each other, while living under the same roof. A perfect dysfunctional family.

Biography: Gilberto González Penilla, born in Tijuana/Mexico in 1983, joined the Training Center of Cinematography (CCC) in 2007. His first short films THE DINNER, THE BORDER OF JESUS, and SMILE were screened at several international film festivals: among others Shorts Shorts México, Hamburg International Short Film Festival, Guadalajara International Film Festival, and Young Cinema Art in Poland. In 2013, he finished his first documentary called CONVERSATIONS OF A MARRIAGE, and LOVE IN TIME OF FIRES released in Morelia International Film Festival. THE HAMSTERS is his feature-film debut.
