filmfest > contests > international short film competition - part II

For the 13th time exground filmfest presents the International Short Film Competition. 19 films from 16 countries compete for the jury award, endowed with EUR 1,500. Since 2009, the prize money is given by the exground-circle of friends, who we thank very much. Find out more about the exground-circle of friends on page 63 of the program booklet. From fiction, documentary- and experimental film to animation all categories are present, among them six German premieres, two European premieres and one world premier. A jury of three will decide, which director, may take the award for "best international short film": Insa Wiese, festival director of International Short Film Week Regensburg, Axel Behrens, head of distribution of the Short Film Agency Hamburg, and director Simon Ellis, award winner of this competition in 2013. The International Short Film Competition’s winner will be announced at the award ceremony of the German Short Film Competition on November 23, 2014.
