In this vibrant, funny, and heartfelt film, a widow and former songstress discovers that life can begin anew at any age. Carol, who’s finding the dating scene difficult at her age, spends her time with her friends, golfing, gardening and singing karaoke, but still feels lonely. When she randomly meets a sexy man (Sam Elliott) who’s about her age, she realizes that life can offer new chances any time.
"I don’t know if I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS is a great movie – but it moved me. It shouldn’t be such a novelty to see the interior life of a septuagenarian explored onscreen. What’s even more novel is that the script, co-written by Marc Basch and director Brett Haley, mostly, if not entirely, avoids the more common, pat comedy of aging of the 'Grumpy Old Men' philosophy." Biography: Brett Haley, US director, writer, producer and editor, is a filmmaker with a diverse skill set. In 2005, he graduated from the University of North Carolina’s School of the Arts, earning a B.F.A. in Directing. He started his professional career as an assistant to film directors Terry George (RESERVATION ROAD, HOTEL RWANDA) and John Hillcoat (LAWLESS, THE ROAD, THE PROPOSITION). He co-wrote and directed the feature film THE NEW YEAR, which won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Sarasota Film Festival and was a "critics’ pick" in both "The Village Voice" and "L.A. Weekly". He has also made a number of short films. He currently resides in Brooklyn.
