A hard-working father tries his best to raise his young daughter alone in a rural area, but he is ill-prepared for what fate throws their way. THE COFFIN MAKER is the story of a neglectful father haunted by a mixture of guilt and remorse over the death of his daughter. Eager to move on with his life, he finds it hard not only to have his daughter’s body buried, but also to bury his culpability.

Biography: Jason Paul Laxamana, born in 1987, is a graduate of BA Broadcast Communication from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He directed Kapampangan short films and music videos before his first feature in 2010. Furthermore, he organized workshops and film festivals in his home province of Pampanga, hoping to inspire more youth to create films in Kapampangan, the native language of their province.
