The story of an intense, inescapable confrontation between two spouses, as hidden secrets progressively come to light. In emotionally dense scenes, the film follows the everyday life of Alice and Frank sliding into a deep crisis after 18 years of marriage. The film shows heir helplessness when faced with a truth that throws their previous life into turmoil: Frank feels more and more attracted to a man.

She seems defenceless, not only against Frank, but also against herself, against her own desperation. Biography: Claudia Lorenz, born in Switzerland in 1975, grew up there and in Argentina. She first studied photography and then film at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Her master film HOI MAYA was screened at numerous film festivals around the world and won many awards, including the Prix UIP Award and the Panorama Audience Award at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2005. Since then she has made various short films, among them IM FLUSS and EL DÍA DEL EURO, both co-directed by Chilean-Spanish film maker Cecilia Barriga. She lives and works as an independent film maker, screenwriter and film editor in Zurich/Switzerland. WHAT’S BETWEEN US [UNTER DER HAUT] is her first feature film.
