The competition programs of exground filmfest are an important forum for promising young filmmakers – not least because of the huge audience interest in the works beyond filmic ready-made products. At exground filmfest 28 cash and non-cash prizes worth almost EUR 18,000 will be awarded. Highlight and audience magnet is the GERMAN SHORT FILM COMPETITION. You will decide about the three best out of ten films of all genres! An international expert jury will award the prize in the INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION. They have the hard choice between 18 shorts – among them films from Brazil, Georgia and Myanmar. We serve regional delicacies in our WIESBADEN SPECIAL – SHORT FILM COMPETITION and the WIESBADEN YOUTH FILM COMPETITION. In both programs your vote decided about honor and awards! In our only feature-length competition, the YOUTH DAYS – INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FILM COMPETITION, a Wiesbaden youth jury will choose their favorite – as well as the audience. Use the opportunity once more, make your voice heard, and enjoy our programs in many sold-out screenings. Speaking of sold-out: the Kulturpalast is always packed, when it is about the fun, to determine the winner of the Golden exground-Cucumber at the exground-Gong-Show, who will get a unique trophy and a prize money of fabulous EUR 50. So – GIMME THE TRASH: just deliver your self-made masterpiece (max. 10 min.) on November 18, 2015 from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm to Kulturpalast, lay back and wait, whether the severe exground-jury will gong it off or lets it run till the end.
