His life is regulated clockwork: he drives the daily route; he writes poetry into his notebook; he walks the dog; he stops in a bar; he drinks one beer; he goes home to his wife. Laura, his perfect match, is just the opposite, ever-changing with her dreams and newfound ambitions. The poetic film observes a week in their lives.
