Hamid immigrates to the U.S. to pursue his writing career and the American Dream. Instead, he winds up working at a small Iranian radio station, seeking artistic satisfaction which is not appreciated except his idea of bringing together the first Afghan rock band "Kabul Dreams" and their long-time idols, "Metallica" for an on-air jam session. Will "Metallica’s" Lars Ulrich come to his broadcast?

Biography: Babak Jalali was born in 1978 in Gorgan in northern Iran, but has lived mainly in London since 1986. He has a Master’s degree in Politics from the University of London and completed successfully the London Film School in 2005. His

graduation film, HEYDAR, AN AFGHAN IN TEHERAN, was short-listed in the Best Short Film category at BAFTA in 2006. That same year, he had a residency at the Cannes Festival’s Cinéfondation where he was able to develop his first feature film, FRONTIER BLUES.
