It is January 22, 1965 – the day before, the Iranian Prime Minister was shot dead in front of the parliament building. Inside the wreck, a banished political prisoner has hung himself. The walls are covered with strange quotes and symbols. Can they help police inspector Hafizi in his investigations? Biography: Mani Haghighi, born in Tehran/Iran in 1969, studied philosophy and has worked as an actor, screenwriter and director. With Asghar Farhadi he co-wrote the screenplay for Farhadi’s film CHAHAR-SHANBEH SOORI (FIREWORKS WEDNESDAY). In 2009, he played the lead character in DARBAREYE ELLY (ABOUT ELLY, Silver Bear for Best Director), also directed by Farhadi. His own fourth feature film as a director, PAZIRAIE SADEH (MODEST RECEPTION), screened in the Berlinale Forum in 2012.
