Alistar, an 83 year old man, decides to go back to Germany to apologise to a village he accidentally bombed during the Second World War. When Ross, his useless and lovesick son, agrees to drive him there, the nightmare of a family road starts. Alistar picks on just everything and stops speaking to his wife Valerie. Ross advises his suffering mother on how to save her marriage and have a say. But that makes Alistar leave.
A bittersweet comedy about love, family and the shadows of the past.
