Who doesn’t remember the images of protest after the Iran presidential elections in summer? Or the nuclear quarrel with the international community? How do young filmmakers see their country? We selected six films about the life in the outback of the theocracy. What about education and health services? What about the women’s role? But also the colourful market is depicted. THE WOODEN CARPET got the award for best humanitarian film at the Hamburg ShortFilmFestival 2009. Four of the six films are German premieres, three of the directors will be at exground filmfest.
