Ellen’s gotta get out: of her routine as stewardess, of her longstanding relationship with Florian, of her life with very little self-determination. She spontaneously steps out of a plane ready for take off and thus begins a different life: a life among animal-rights activists, a life with young Karl, a life without seat belt or parachute.
"On her journey into an uncertain future Ellen meets her feelings of insecurity with unusual optimism. It is this insecurity making her look for hints of family, of a warm sense of belonging.
