A highlight of exground filmfest’s short film programs. Eleven phantastic shorts from nine countries show the spectrum of animation techniques, from animated dolls and classical cartoons to computer animation. Animals and death are popular topics this year: insects in Finland, mosquitoes in Iran, cats in Turkey and beetles in Germany. Hungarian Oscar-winner Ferenc Rófusz wonderfully describes the circle of life. Standstill in life, vitally important sleep and the danger of suicide are the topics of films from Germany, Switzerland and Mexico. It gets more amusing with the old lady, who has unexpected guests and HAPPY CHEESE wanting to make us believe, that in the beginning there was cheese. In MY WORLD we learn, that it’s worth waiting for real love. Last but not least the pop classic DON’T GO.
