The annual must-see for short film afficionados: the favorites of the exground filmfest team in the BEST OF SHORTS program: ten films from Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden and Germany – among them award-winners at international festivals. First and foremost the horror-musical THE LEGEND OF BEAVER DAM, which won the most awards, among others Best Short at the Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Spanish Film Festival in Sitges. HACKNEY LULLABIES won the Berlin Today Award at Berlinale 2011. LAS PALMAS impressed the audience of Short Film Festival Hamburg, where FELIX won the "Flotte Dreier". HANGING AROUND enchanted Berlin subway passengers and won the "Going Underground" festival. In this year’s program you’ll come across children and animals in unusual ways.
