Lommel’s first USA film, produced by Andy Warhol who also took over a part. French film star Carole Bouquet plays French journalist Nada in this Manhattan-Love-Cocktail triangle story. She is supposed to interview punk-rock star Billy (Richard Hell), from which emerges a chaotic love story. When her actual lover (Ulli Lommel) arrives in New York for an exclusive interview with Andy Warhol, she has to choose between the two men.
A cult classic set in the New York City of the late 1970s, located in the sadly now defunct legendary new wave rock club "CBGB". This is where "Richard Hell and The Voidoids" appeared, whose 1977 album was the blueprint for the film’s title. A declaration of love to the Lower East Side and punk rock!
