DANIEL, DER ZAUBERER [DANIEL THE WIZARD] is a highly disputed and controversially discussed docu-drama starring Daniel Küblböck, the third place winner of the first series of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" [the German version of "American Idol"; the editor], in the lead. Ulli Lommel wrote the script and directed, Peter Schamoni produced the film. The German reviews spanned both extremes – from hymn in "Süddeutsche Zeitung" to total scorchings.
