exground filmfest 28 - winners and festival summary
ER UND SIE wins the German Short Film Competition // Philippine WAWA was awarded Best International Short Film // Youth jury chooses MUSTANG by Deniz Gamze Ergüven
A festive award ceremony and following festival finale at the sold out Caligari FilmBühne ended exground filmfest 28 on Sunday night after ten successful festival days. Following the German Short Film Competition cash and non-cash prizes worth 17,600 EUR were awarded in five competitions. Numerous international guests and over 10.000 visitors are evidence of the festival’s high popularity well beyond Wiesbaden.

More than 250 short and feature length films from 52 countries have been selected for the 28th edition of exground filmfest (13 – 22 November 2015). In addition to the traditional sections and competitions numerous special events complete the diverse programme. Please find the full programme at the end of this press release. Wiesbaden's exground filmfest 28 opens with Greek CHEVALIER
First highlights with star- and women's power // Thematic focus: refugees and crisis
exground filmfest starts on November 13, 2015 with the Greek entry CHEVALIER, a biting character sketch by Athina Rachel Tsangari. At 7 pm the first film of this year's country in focus Greece will have its Rhein/Main regional premiere at Wiesbaden Caligari FilmBühne.
