Ventura Pons has filmed another book, this time by Ferran Torrent. Cards, gambling and nightly pleasures are the main ingredients of this film after a "real event". Ferran, looking for happiness out of sheer pleasure, meets Chino, living of taking higher and higher risks. In a game Ferran loses money to Chino, who – instead of demanding to pay the debt – invites Ferran to accompany him. Ferran is so fascinated by easy money, fast cars and seductive women, that he goes with Chino to the real "hot tables" in Madrid. Chino wins and loses higher and higher sums. When one day the police cash in all stakes during a raid, Ferran has it and loses track of Chino. Years later Ferran goes looking for the legend-turned gambler and finds out, what happened to Chino – whether he was lucky and survived even Russian roulette…
