16-year old Santi is allergic to sunlight. Life isn’t easy for him and his single mother in Barcelona. They decide to move to a remote village in the Northern mountains, that rarely sees a beam of light. Enjoying their new home doesn’t last for long, though. Strange things happen: allegedly there’s an eerie creature in the woods, killing animals in the village. Eventually two boys see their last day. The police gets in and all of a sudden Santi is the main suspect. He decides to unveil the wood’s secret himself and meets a savaged girl, whose parents died tragically years ago. The villagers don’t seem to be perfectly innocent in this. Things turn wild – and it gets harder by the minute to tell, who is in with who and who is still on Santi’s side.
SHIVER is a Spanish horror film par excellence: dreary, sinister, full of riddles and scarily beautiful. Have a spooky show!
