For the seventh time, exground filmfest presents the International ON VIDEO contest. The selection committee has chosen 22 entries from 13 countries, competing for the jury award endowed with EUR 1,500. The prize money is sponsored by the Wiesbadener Kinofestival e. V. All short-film genres are represented – from feature film via documentary and experimental film to animation.
An international jury of three will decide which director can take home the award for "best film" on video format: Bernd Brehmer, head of the Munich "Underdox Filmfest" and co-operator of the legendary "Werkstattkino", Johnny Kelly, film-maker from Great Britain and himself award winner of the ON VIDEO contest with 2007’s PROCRASTINATION, as well as Jörg Stodolka, freelancing journalist for the "Splatting Image" magazine, based in Cologne. The winner of the ON VIDEO contest will be announced in the course of the award ceremony for exground’s contest for German short films on November 23, 2008.
