RIDE ON II is as stirring as informative a documentary about so-called fun sports, indeed rather extreme sports. The portrayed snowboarders, skaters, surfers and freestyle-motocross racers impress with masterly body control, severe courage and discipline, hard training and lots of patience. We see exciting acrobatics, reminding of breakneck stunts, we listen to people, who have devoted their lives to sports. Contrary to common prejudice they aren’t bragging adrenaline junkies, going just for the kick and the show – but indeed reflected, likeable contemporaries, writing sports history.
DeeDee Wallauer garnishes this delicacy with a fantastic choice of music, like "Are We Electric", "Creme Fresh", "Portmaneau", "Sant Otten", "The Notwist" and Werner Schultheiss.
