Hiroshima is the hyper-realistic journey through a dream of a young South American slacker, a calm musical with elements of silent film: surreal, exhilarating and innovative. Juan sings in a rock band, yet doesn’t talk much. By night he works in a bakery and sleeps by day. This is the story of such a day. HIROSHIMA is Pablo Stoll’s first film after his friend Juan Pablo Rebella’s suicide. With Rebella he made, among others, WHISKY – one of the most beautiful films of new Latin American cinema.
"HIROSHIMA is no silent movie, but a film without words: the environments, noises and mostly the music help to create this hypnotic atmosphere, this slightly unreal world where my brother lives [main actor Juan Andrés Stoll; the editor] – a place where words can not be heard." (Pablo Stoll)
