The (true) story of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Germany 1991: 18-year-old Paul writes for Saskia the song of his life, which he hears on the radio soon after titled "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Determined to claim his author’s rights and win his beloved back, he follows Kurt Cobain touring Germany with "Nirvana" – as Saskia is now busy with Cobains support act, peacock Peter Punk.

Biography: Rolf Roring, born in 1976, early on discovered his passion for film. After film- and TV studies and new German literature at FU Berlin, from 2001 he specialised at WAM media academy in film- and TV production and directing. From 1999 to 2010 he free-lanced as production-, director’s-, stage manager’s- and camera assistant for various production companies. Among others he worked as online producer for MTV Networks Germany. Now he is with Strandgutmedia GmbH, responsible for developing formats and realizing them for TV.
