For three months Tomo had lived and worked for the Neumanns, a normal middle-class family. Now the robot is lying on the floor of the swimming pool. What went wrong? Florian Heinzen-Ziob’s TOMO deals with the fascination for strange phenomena and the fear of them.

Biography: Florian Heinzen-Ziob was born 1984 in Düsseldorf/Germany. After receiving his high-school diploma, he worked as assistant director for theatre productions and as cutter, animator and graphic designer at a post-production company. Between 2006 and 2012 he studied at the Academy of Media Art Cologne. In 2007, he filmed at the former extinction camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland the documentation KONSERWACJA. In 2010, he took part in two exhibitions on the topic migration, and in 2012 he completed his diploma film TOMO. His newest film, the feature-length documentary ORIGINAL COPY, is still in post-production.
