BETHLEHEM tells the story of the complex relationship between an Israeli secret service officer and his teenage Palestinian informant. Shuttling back and forth between conflicting points of view, the film is a raw portrayal of characters torn apart by competing loyalties and impossible moral dilemmas, giving an unparalleled glimpse into the dark and fascinating world of human intelligence.

It’s not just the informant who is confused about his identity and loyalties; the agent also experiences a blurring of the lines. Biography: Yuval Adler studied mathematics at Tel Aviv University and later moved to New York, where he received a Ph.D. in philosophy from Columbia University. Yuval also studied sculpture and photography at Columbia University during this time and participated in various high-profile art shows in New York City before switching to writing and directing films full-time. BETHLEHEM, which he co-wrote with Ali Waked, is his first feature film.
